The Holistic Approach

Holistic means whole, and therefore we look at the whole person and not just a part.

Holistic works on the principal that everything is interconnected, it reviews not just the physical but also mental, spiritual, and includes considering how external influences such as your lifestyle and the environment can impact your wellbeing.

Rather than providing short-term cures, a holistic approach promotes lifelong positive habits.

We have always been interested in feeling and looking good and have come to realise that a balance in life can help us achieve this.

Stress

In our busy, fast paced world we often overlook taking time out for ourselves.

We live in a dynamic age where change is all around us and most of us are forced to deal with stress.  Short bursts of stress are good and necessary to help us achieve difficult tasks, tackle danger and meet the immediate need for action. However; this flight or fight response activates the sympathetic nervous system, which increases blood to certain parts of the body while shutting down other parts.  The effect is some systems are working too hard and others hardly at all, prolonged stress causes a strain on the body and unless balance is restored the body will suffer.

Regular treatments such as massage or reflexology can help to relax and calm your body giving it the ability to restore a healthy balance.

Prevention is better than a cure, take time to connect with your body, relax to find peace and harmony.
